I found the end of chaper 1 in the Leonardo book the most interesting where we had to ask 3 people strengths and weaknesses about ourselves and then write about what we found out. Most people I asked did not want to tell me what to work on because they did not want to offend me, but what they told me has been very helpful in self reflection. To spare you the rest of my weaknesses, which would take a very long time to list, I did enjoy the idea of asking questions in order to better my situation. I found that most answers to any problems were reparable by changing my state of mind or attitude. This is encouraging because I want to focus on what I am able to do to make changes in the world around me. I can not control what others do, but I enjoy trying to be more positive about myself and others. I hope to continue to ask more questions of myself as we go through this book.
I had some trouble with the first chapter of the Leonardo book. Largly because it is not the way I like to think. When they asked me to list questions all I wanted to do was answer them right away. Sometimes I would find that I did answer them before I even wrote them down. Then I was like "should I erase this now or what?"
I did enjoy the sharing of our answers and questions with our group. I think I am more stimulated by other people's questions than my own.
I mean your Toadstool (pad)agogy.
